I have HCl as a byproduct from fridel craft acylation,,but having the impurity like Trichloacetylene as solvent and isobutyl benzene or acetylchloride,,,i want to purify it. Any solution????

 

 

I think it's probably a waste of time to try given how easy and cheap it is to obtain. 

How worth while it is depends on how much you have.

If it's not much- say <100g I'd not bother except perhaps as an interesting project.

Sir its in ton not in 1 or 2 litr

I'm assuming that you have the gas rather than a solution in water. Saying "HCl" is ambiguous.

 

If you have tons of it then you must do something with it- you can't just vent it to the atmosphere.

Dissolving it in water to make hydrochloric acid- which can be sold- is probably the easiest way to deal with it.

But you need to get proper advice from a chemical engineer.

Posting on a web page won't do the job.
