How will the Cosmos end?

As universes move away from each other and suns die..will the Cosmos, simple take on the big freeze.

Or in a ball of individual burn up as the Suns enter their last stages will each Universe be burnt to a crisp....crashing into each other...

Shades of Worlds in Collision!!!!!

I think I know enough of hate

To know that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.

LOL, that works for me..LOL

I think it won't 'end', after all, matter can not be created or destroyed. Same with energy. The amount of energy in the universe is the same, it can't be created or destroyed either. If the universe ends in a 'big crunch', than it would compact the energy together, making it hotter, not frozen.

law of conservation of mass: Matter cannot be created or destroyed.

law of conservation of energy: Energy cannot be created or destroyed.

The big crunch theory is basically the universe ending in a universal black hole (which is what many people say is how it started... many being a few). If "The Big Crunch," happens, all the matter and energy would be held in a singularity, and thus, the entire universe would have no energy except at the singuarity which would have infinite energy and infinite mass, and thus, have enough energy for a second "Big Bang." breaking the gravity of the universal black hole.

has anyone ever thought about this though...

What if, the universe has been through several "Big Bangs" and "Big Crunches" and will go thorough them again.

Max: Actually I have. And some Hindu texts in line with reincarnation, also say the Cosmos is "reincarnted" and then there is the famous "new heaven and new earth" line in Revelation. The idea that the Cosmos is born and then reborn, does fit into science very nicely.

Evidence at the moment would suggest that the universe is still expanding and doesnt look like it will slow down (in fact it is still getting faster), this can be seen because of the Red Shift of all but one of thr galaxies around us. If this is the case and the universe continues to expand, the matter and energy will become less dense and the universe will infact end in a big freeze. (Well technically it wont end in this case)
