Any suggestions on how to turn quartz green when heated to about 315-450 F? Chromium-rich pyropes?

Hi everybody!

I'm interested in changing the color of quartz to green when heated to about 315-450 degrees fahrenheit. Any suggestions would be most helpful!

Thanks

Thank you, I read the article and it was helpful. Do you know whether the quartz that's being heated will return back to its original state(clear) after being cooled? My idea is to create something that is made of quartz, and after being heated, I noticed it turns red(that being hot), but what I'd like to do is have it become green when at a cooler temperature, say around 350 degrees or so.

Quartz(Clear when at room temperature) ----> Heated with a flame -----> Quartz becomes reddish(600-900 degrees) ----> after cooling for about 30 seconds to a minute (quartz is at about 315-450 degrees) (preferably greenish color) -----> after two minutes + (quartz returns back to its original state)(clear)

Is this possible?
