light particle explained

Featured Replies

hi I have a theory that a light particle is a magnet square or rectangular and nearly 2d this would explain how light moves in a wave and is a particle the oscillation of the magnets side by side would cause them to constantly shift back and forth on their axis meaning they would move towards and away from each other while tilting at the same time, this would also explain how light can be bent by a magnet.

That's not a theory. You need some sort of mathematical model — some way to make specific predictions, so that the idea can be falsified.

Here's what we want

Hello and welcome.

Thinking up new ideas is to be encouraged, especially when you try to explain observed effects

We call our propositions 'hypotheses' not theories which is what a hypothesis becomes after substantial verification.

However it is always as well to make sure that you get your facts straight so deflection of light by magnetism?
