  4. Suppose you are to desing the braking system for a jet airplane. On its takeoff run, the jet increases its speed with a constant acceleration of magnitude. 3.5 m/(s^2) until it becomes airborne at a speed of 95 m/s.The length of the runway is 2500 m. Determine the magnitude of the constant acceleration that will stop the jet at the end of the runway, assuming that the pilot aborted takeoff at the instant the jet attained takeoff speed.
  5. atheist I didn't understand(what is the relationship between fermion and matter )

  11. the absolute value ok, let us forget it in this question, distances and magnitude of displacement are equal... right?
  12. of course Distance is the scalar but displacement is the vector ... in other words, Distance is the absolute value of the displacement.. for example, someone walked 3 km and the walked back the 3 km, then distance will be 6 km but displacement will be zero.... is my answer right ?
  13. 1-A jogger travels from x=0 to x=50 m between t=0 and t=10 s.Between t=10 s and t=15 s, the jogger travels from x=50 m to x =25 m. Is the distance traveled by the jogger equal to the magnitude of his displacement (a)between t=0 and t=10 s. (b)=between t=10 and t=15 s?Explain..
  14. We need some sort of major education reform at all levels..( in every country of the world) but , at first, proof..proof..proof..

  18. I was once at a luncheon with three Ph.D. students in the Chinese Department at Peking University, all native Chinese (one from Hong Kong). I happened to have a cold that day, and was trying to write a brief note to a friend canceling an appointment that day. I found that I couldn't remember how to write the character 嚔, as in da penti 打喷嚔 "to sneeze". I asked my three friends how to write the character, and to my surprise, all three of them simply shrugged in sheepish embarrassment. Not one of them could correctly produce the character. Now, Peking University is usually considered the "Harvard of China". Can you imagine three Ph.D. students in English at Harvard forgetting how to write the English word "sneeze"?? Yet this state of affairs is by no means uncommon in China. English is simply orders of magnitude easier to write and remember." by David Moser University of Michigan Center for Chinese Studies http://www.pinyin.info/readings/texts/moser.html my native languages are turkish and kurdish..I'm learning Mandarin(Chinese), Chinese shares very little vocabulary with European languages(and with my native languages) Is there an easy way to learning Chinese?
