I can't get into safe mode, when I try, I get the black screen with...disk..rdisk..partition..windows32......etc, it then shuts down with the same error message as beforeDid you try getting into "safe mode"?0 -
Interesting, you must've had a super high impedance voltmeter to measure the voltage.there was an experiment i did in highschool to show that charge can be lost to the surrounding air where we used some very thin insulating thread to hang a small sphere (resistance was on the order of tera-ohms) the sphere was then charged to 200V+/- 2V and left for 10 mins and we then measure the potential as 150V+/- 2 V the potential lost through the wire was something like 0.01V (teacher done calculations as we were too uneducated at that point)0 -
Ooh that's interesting, you mean that the peace prize and the literature prize are set aside for advancing agenda's ?The award was universally considered a surprise. By, I suppose, everyone who hasn't figured out what the agenda is with the Nobel committee yet.0 -
Yeah John, It's the Spike Lee's, H. Dean, M. Moore, J. Jackson, C. Rangel, A. Sharpton's of the world that keep telling Blacks that republicans are racist. How do you fight these people? And it wouldn't be a step up for me to think that Spike is a racist biggot who thinks all of the problems the African community have are due to whites. Maybe I could make a documentary showing all the hate caused by some of his movies.0 -
now that you admit you weren't actually responding to anything' date=' i guess we can move on[/quote']Yes Bud, I was not responding to the proper topic.

I have the same problem as Aronathas, except my error codes are: STOP: c000021a and STATUS OF: 0xc000026c. When I try what Equuleus suggested (hitting space key while booting), I don't get any options.
From snooping around in the knowledge base, I pretty much know what the problem is, but can't boot so I can fix it. Anyone know how I can boot-up?
I'm running XP-SP2
Thanks

1st of all do a cnn news search on the Brazil thing. It's true.
2nd' date=' snopes is frequently wrong.
3rd, neo cons are conservatives. Neo con stands for neo conservative.[/quote']
1...The original canard was printed by the Brazilian left wing press. The story hit the leftie blogs, and was mentioned by Carville on crossfire (CNN), to my knowledge it never hit the MSN.
2... I'm sure, but not this time.
3...Yes, neocons *are* conservative. Neocon means "new conservative" The religious right are christian conservatives, which are probably closer to paleo conservatives than they are to neo conservatives.....the point being, the bible whippers are not neocons.

Whoa, whoa, whoa Bud. Methinks you just stuffed the bold words in my mouth.-douglas said that because kanye west and a host of others say that Bush hates black people, spike lee must also believe that bush hates black people[/u']I was merely pointing out a few people who think Bush dislikes Blacks. not realizing that you were talking specifically about Spike Lee. I agree, Lee didn't say "republican gov't" and he didn't say Bush dislikes Blacks.

Another Bushism....That story has been debunked by Snopes' Urban legend. I can't believe people believe this stuff....unless they *really* want to believe it.He tipped his hat when he asked Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso "Do you have blacks too?"
Hmmm, I didn't know the bible whippers were neocons. For some reason, I thought they were always conservative.I don't dislike all republicans, but the bible whipped neo-cons really bother me.0 -
Okey dokey.unfortunately, neither my post nor the previous post i was responding to involved the people mentioned above. in addition, the key words are: "because he's a Republican"0 -

C'mon Bud, Kanye West said, "George Bush doesn't care about black people, they've been given permission to go down there and shoot us".these assumptions may have been infantile had they actually been madeCharlie Rangel claims that George Bush is the modern day Bull Connor.
CNSNews.com) - In an open letter to President Bush posted on his Web site, liberal filmmaker and anti-war activist Michael Moore suggests that a delay in rescuing stranded residents of New Orleans was based on race and class.
Howard Dean says......"The truth is the president of the United States used the same device that Slobodan Milosevic used in Serbia. When you appeal to homophobia, when you appeal to sexism, when you appeal to racism, that is extraordinarily damaging to the country,"
Add to that the thousands of blogs that claim Bush is a racist.

They're probably alien rods, they're supposed to be bountiful here on earth, and can only be seen in a photograph.Does anyone have any idea what this picture could be?Does he have any pictures of crop circles?....

He must be mistaken, every incident of that nature is race related, just ask Sharpton and Jackson....I like the example of the man beaten in NO. He said from the get-go that it wasn't race related..
Back to Spike Lee........

I think it's more likely that it loses it's charge through it's own insulating material.it looses charge to the surrounding air and nothing is a perfect insulator0 -
I guess that means a Republican United States government.I don't put anything past the United States government," Lee said. "I don't find it too far-fetched that they tried to displace all the black people out of New Orleans."0 -
Thnx' date=' I`ll consider myself an Honourary citizen!
although I`de sooner go to Texas than Alabama, and teach them how to do a Propper BBQ and cook a REAL Chili [/quote']Real Chili...I don't know YT, my brother lives in Corpus Christi Texas, and he tells me that a bowl of texas style chili contains 4 Habanero or Scotch bonnet peppers in it, and people complain that it's not hot enough....

This article from the WHO sums it up pretty well. Personally' date=' this Avian H5N1 scares the shiznit out of me.[/quote']Good link Celeste.
Yeah, I'm concerned too, I'd like to see immediate action on developing a vaccine.
I heard that Bush was looking into the feasability of a quarantine of affected areas.

Also' date=' what type of impact would avian flu have on humanity, how much damage would really be wrought (realistically)? Do we have enough vaccines?
[/quote']
Apparently there *is* a vaccine for this flu. I heard or read that the American pharmaceuticals are reluctant to produce the vaccine for fear of the liability (a good reason for tort reform).
I heard from another source that the 1918 pandemic was a form of the avian flu and that it was expected that the world would experience 3 pandemics per century.

How about ...."welcome to Birmingham Alabama", you now need a pickup truck....Welcome to the united states0 -
Well, the large pharmaceuticals aren't interested (no money there). And nobody will do it as a freebie.still don't understand the lack of studies being done on large groups to see how well it really does work!!??I noticed that Bayer is pushing their aspirin as a blood thinner to prevent strokes, and I think Zycam uses Zinc as their base ingredient for cold prevention. But for the most part, you're on your own in determining what these vitamins and herbs do for you.
I didn't know these existed, I'm going to check them out.....Thanks.I would have to suggest powdered or capsules like the ones from Pure Encapulations.
Interesting observation, and probably true. I've notice that psyllium husks have a duel purpose of preventing both constipation and diarrhea.Robert Cathcart, III, MD (orthomed.com) :My clinical experience would indicate that vitamin C increases iron absorption when iron is needed. It seems to increase excretion of iron when there is an excessive amount of iron. Therefore, vitamin C might be a good treatment of hemochromatosis.

not at all, we blame Douglas completely and hold him entirely responsible
Guilty as charged.... and my apologies to Kedas....

My guess would be that the probes are made of metal such that when contact is made, they equalize the charge prior to pumping fuel.Do they make the refuelling probe out of rubber or an insulator ?
