  1. Yes I do. People believe there are wormholes in our universe. It's whether or not we ourselves can create one or not. And the hard part is actually finding a wormhole and figuring out exactly what they do. Do you know the difference between law and theory? Can you prove to me that there is only one universe? You cannot prove or disprove that there are multiple universes.
  2. Oops, the article was actually about making blackholes. My mistake, very sorry. Blackholes... It's been a while since I read it. Still, wormholes do exist in theory. Sorry, once again.
  3. I live in Illinois. So I'm right in the middle of the US. And I am a perfectly normal human worm baby too, just so you know. Hooray for Earth! Hm... There aren't too many girls on the site are there?
  4. Imagination is not based on experience' date=' dreams may be. But if I imagine that I could fly is that based on experience? Is that logical? Not really. I've never flown before. And it doesn't logical for a human to fly. *spell it psychology It's spelled marijuana actualy. The "J" is pronounced as an "H".
  5. Because there are a few people from my school like that. I've known these people for quite some time. I will admit conversations can tell you about people sometimes though. Not really by the way they talk, but just the way they... well, when you talk you get a grasp of their knowledge. I hope I've made sense with that last statement...
  6. Correct! It's simply nature. These creature have been doing this themselves for thousands of years. Of course, scientists are studying them in hopes of figuring out how they do it. Maybe if we figure that out we can figure out how to cryogenically freeze a human.
  7. True, the universe's expansion rate is increasing. But we do not know how it interacts with other universes. Heck, we don't even know if there are other universes for sure. Just all theories.
  8. That's what I thought it might've been. Because I have very small veins to begin with. And if they became smaller, then... Yeah, they'd be pretty hard to find and use.
  9. I found this: http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/yawning.html It's a bit of a help.
  10. Actually I've heard that they no longer believe that is true. Now they say yawning seems to be more a response to boredom or tiredness. There have been studies where people watching something interesting yawn less than people who get to watch the little off-air bars. I think the study was teens watching MTV videos versus those bars. Depending on the video, I might opt for the bars...
  11. I see what you mean. But there was a month between treatments, my arm had healed completely really. But maybe it takes the vein longer than the skin to recover.
  12. I have to disagree, along with a few other people who have made comments on this. Just because someone is a good speaker, it doesn't mean they're intelligent. And likewise, I have heard many highly intelligent people talk, and often stumble over words and have troubles putting their ideas into words. Of course, I don't believe IQ test should be used as a measure of one's intelligence. Someone could get lucky, or have a bad day, or study for it... There are many reasons why those tests shoul not be considered a measure of one's intelligence.
  13. Yeah, I'll agree with that. This thread turned into the capitalization versus bold or italics argument thread or something.
  14. http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/02/19/1077072756433.html?oneclick=true Then read that. Maybe Mel doesn't deny, but his father certainly does. Mel still has numerous issues of his own. (Though, he has said his father taught him everything he knows.)
  15. I've seen a few things on why yawning is contagious. The truth is nobody really knows why. A common theory is that it is a learned response. I don't believe in that one, seems a little odd that both we and chimpazees would learn that. Another is that it is that it is actually evolutionary. That, at one time our ancestors used yawns to signal each other, and the others followed that yawn with their own.
  16. Creepy, I've never heard about that before. It sounds a bit like what the Australian did to the Aboriginals. Where they took all the ones with lighter skin into camps and made them conform to their culture and get white spouses so their children would have even lighter skin. It was all an attempt to get rid of Aboriginal culture. Of course the way the Americans treated the Aboriginal Americans was awful too.
  17. Hey, I have a flashlight like that. I have to shake it, and I hear the little thing moving up and down. That's cool to build one (I paid 5 bucks for mine). The way you described it sounds exactly like how mine works, so... Sounds good to me. Good luck with building it
  18. A person talking to themselves in public, obviously has some issues that they need to work through. Much like people who are depressive, schizophrenic, etc. they will lead happier lives if they are helped with their problems. Whereas, homosexuals obviously can lead perfectly happy lives the way they are. Those two things are in no way similar.
  19. It is not at all a mental problem. It is simply biological. They cannot choose their sexuality. And they can no more easily become heterosexual than you could become homosexual. They are born they way they are, they do not choose it.
  20. Mel Gibson and his father. And others. They deny that it ever happened. I think it may be their sect of the Catholic church.
  21. Hm, my body temperature's lower than the average. Most people don't think I have a fever even when my temp has risen by about 3 or 4 degrees, because it becomes average when it goes up.
  22. I meant by thinking beyond what seems possible. Leonardo DaVinci made designs for a helicopter. Odds are, to most it did not seem "logical". Of course, it seems logical now, because we know how it works. I'm saying at first, many new ideas do not seem "logical" until they are actually proven to work.
