Fine I see where you guys are going with this...A battle I can't win! *waves flag* All i am saying is this: This is the best run forum I've ever been too. IT just sticks out to me, and I am pretty easy going guy. After 3 pages of bullshit, You guys are like " No...that obviously wrong" and the other guy is just going on about " Gravity being super dimensional portal to Univeral mind" I see alot of you as being intelligent enough to see when you cross lines....No matter what people are imperfect yes, I am not saying don't have leinence where leinence is due. You mods make though iffy calls all the time, I don't see a reason to allow it to go on forever just because we you are afraid to seem not open minded. It's more for the fact that relevant or interesting speculation get drowned out by the crap.

I just dont understand, that when clearly someone refuses to accept reality conversation after is pointless. It's the same as me typing this every single post and nothing else: "This is a pointless post" I would get banned for that no? What if I made 3 threads called Idea 1 Idea 2 Idea 3 and have nothing in it. Alot of those threads have zero value to anyone. It's as relevant as me trying to convince "you" that you don't exist. I admit that just because something is false, doesnt mean it has no value...I am not making a general statement, I know it can be entertaining to be fictional...there is whole reading genre on it...but that accepted as false as a premise.

I am still on facebook and never even hit the myspace...I've been using PC since I was like 7. My ability to escape certain social aspects of the internet are outstanding. Certain things are unavoidable like WHAT?!? 9000!!! since I am a fan of anime but...twitter....not going there. but bloging....I want to give it a try. can someone actually tell me how to do it? or blogs only for mods and experts?

It get's troubling though when you think if it in terms of: once an act of terrorism is done, is everyrhing following that acts of it consider terrorism as well. lets say this guy is going against the government and he bombing stuff...you know...If he takes out a solider, is he doing it to cause terror or to save from being captured?

This is my qualm with Richard. He proclaims himself to be open-minded but he rejects the possiblity of certain things. As soon as you reject any possibility you have closed your mind to ideas. I think that's a dangerous thing for a human being who is not infalliable to make. Sure I am not saying you should believe in imaginary things. The chance of a God existing is limited to the what currently understand about the universe. If there is some physical aspect to God's action we should be able to see it. We don't, so we limit the possibility. If there is no bases to the idea it not worth approaching. We are also not invalid either, we have the ability to filter out information that is not relevant. I don't have to close my mind to a possibility of God because I can deduct from what we know (assuming it correct) that if a God exists it doesn't affect the world physically, and that if there is physical presence, it has to match up with what is real. So it's not a concern for me, I haven't seen evidence for it, so I don't bother with it. For other it is. That's up to them. We have a certian degree of faith in science as well. We assume that because something repeat continously it's based on what we call reality. Gravity is real, we test it constantly. But we start still deducting based on our own perception. My point is we are limited and we are not perfect. The moment we tell our selves something is impossible without having evidence for it, we stunt our growth. I don't see why any door should be closed indefinitely. From what I read and listen to from Richard, he doesn't actually practice that quote, which is the trouble with quotes, the worthiness of a quote is dependant on who states it. It never based on merit of what is actually being said.

I think the scientific push and drive to become number one is gone that's all. Once you are number one that need to become the best diminishes. Everyone was within the shadow of the US. You guys had nothing to prove...but other did, and the race never ends ;P You guys thought you crossed the finish line. Simple as that.

The only thing that bothers me is that my threads in physic never get answered. I am trying fully grasp EM. I have a tendency for my mind to look at things from a chaotic perspective and I usually need a helping hand in organizing ideas. Sometimes that takes a rather long explaination that I understand not everyone is willing to do. I will also state that my question have probably been asked before, and it seems repeattive, I get that.... but the information that has been displayed here still hasnt fully given me the answers I specifically need. That's my only gripe....besides phiforall ability to make puns better than me. wait till I get a pun dictionary.

I think there may is a slight chance that they will have figured out how to create A.I. to pass the turning test, it would be the hardware aspect will probably not be sophisticated enough to carry it out. 2050 seems more reasonanble.

I was like kidding man... There was no way in my mind I was thinking I would be give a PSD of the site. layout...IS the shell theroem even relevant anymore? If absolute free will exists we wouldn't be here discussing this. Photons, Gluons and what have you would be dancing the macarena in space....even then you can question free will unless every possible object exists doing every single thing wants to do at the same time. Physically impossible. So just because there is determinism doesn't mean Free Will doesn't exist, you can't possible define it that way and not apply to the rest of the universe.
