  1. Such as, say, exercise? I have no idea though.
  2. Oh I'm sorry: Ululación, muy aclarando. Su prueba es substancial y muy reputada...
  3. Wow, very enlightening. Your proof is substantial and very reputable...
  4. Everyone's over it btw, someone just close this thread or something. We don't know it so either say it or don't, we don't care anymore.

It's over! Yea, I thought this year's was a lot easier, but that means a lower curve. I think i did pretty well but I'm glad it's over.

    Don't forget the teenage parents.
  7. My teacher said XYY also caused a more violent and impatient personality, is that accurate? I also remember something about how many end up in prisons but that was a few years ago.
  8. It would be interesting but it doesn't do that... And who is the mother of the male sperm? That makes no sense.
  9. I'm pretty sure one individual with a mutation has a chance of passing it down and then, if beneficial or passive, it will be spread around.
  10. What channel? How long ago? Was it a special? Do you remember anything else about it?
  11. Party Pooper I think they took away gravity to create a hypothetical situation to prove/disprove that gravity was the thing holding the earth in a sphere.
  12. Those bubbles are water vapor, no chemical reactions just a physical change in state of matter. Some of the water is turned into a gas. They probably appear at the bottom because the metal and the water right around it have the highest temperature so it is the first to pass the the boiling temperature.
  13. Why do they try to create theories to fit what the bible says? The bible was written by humans so wouldn't it make more sense to compare it to new science? If it didn't work, there are some mistakes in it, big deal. Their results/theories could be biased because they try to get it to produce the answer they want - sometimes at the cost of accuracy.
  14. You can never see light traveling away from you. You can redirect it back toward you though.
  15. What do they become once they are proven true, or can nothing, technically, be proven 100% true?
  16. Hmm. I'm not sure if I'm right, but particles that are not between the object and the center of gravity/mass of the earth will have less effect on the object. This is because they pull at an angle, and only part of it is toward the center of gravity. Therefore a hollow earth would have many more particles pulling at an angle because the only particles pulling directly downward are the particles right under the feet of the object and the particles exactly 180 degrees around the earth. The other particles, expecially those close to 90 degrees away, can pull at up to a 45 degree angle away from downward. Granted the effect would be small, but less particles are pulling down. After thinking about that for a while, I am beginning to doubt myself. I forgot about the distance squared being divided in the gravity equation. In the hollow earth, the mass is closer to surface than an evenly dispersed or all in one point at center. I'm not really sure anymore.
  17. Oh, so a concept can be both - a fact in that it is proven to happen and a theory that explains how it works?
  18. But it's only considered a theory. Why isn't considered a fact then?
  19. It will NEVER be considered a fact. A scientific fact notes that something happens and a theory explains why. It is a theory because it explains why, a fact is a different catagory. And don't even start with "it's just a theory" because anyone who thinks that does not know much about the scientific terms.
  20. A scientifc theory is a model or explanation of observations that explains how and why something happens. A law notes something happens and a theory explains why. Theories are more complex and account for something. Evolution explains why and is widely accepted so it's a theory.
  21. Be careful what you say, evolution is a widely accepted theory. I think it is true as do many people but we still call it a theory. You might want to look up the definition for scientific theory, fact, law, etc. if you are still confused.
  22. Oh. I think it still would be different. If the earth was hollow with all the mass on the outside and you were on the top of it somewhere, it would be less then if the mass was equally distributed. This is because some of the mass would pull at an angle, having less effect on you than the mass pulling straight down. If it was all in one point at the center and you were in the same place, all the mass would pull down.
  23. Also, if we kept them all in life imprisonment it would cost a ton of money. More prison space, food, high security, guards, etc. I'm not saying this is a good reason but I'm merely pointing it out. I wish it could be that money wasn't a problem but it always will be.
  24. Well, I'm guessing this a science forum so the post count should show how much you have attributed to the science on the forum. General discussions, such as this, have nothing to do with science.
