I'm curious as to what characteristics of ligands affect CO stretching frequencies. I've already accounted for backbonding, and I'm wondering what other characteristics are important. I'm also a little unclear as to what makes a ligand more pi accepting than another.

Using the fact that for all n≥M, (a^n)≤(a^M/M!)(a/M)^(n-M), Show that given some ε > 0, there exists a natural number M such that for all n ≥ M, (a^n)/n! < ε So Im looking for a potential value for M that would complete my proof. So far I have found that if M = ε(a^2+1) then it works, through experimenting with different values for a. However, this does not incorporate that (a^n)≤(a^M/M!)(a/M)^(n-M). I also cannot find a way of proving that choosing M = ε(a^2+1) works for this problem. Should I take a different approach?

I'm working on a hypersonic vehicle project and I have some questions regarding some results I have obtained. The scope of this project includes the calculation and plotting of the pressure, temperature, pressure coefficient, and drag coefficient on the surface of a blunt body. I'm writing a report examining the link between Ozone thickness and UV dose. I have two data sets, one is Ozone thickness in Dobson units, the other is Cloud Free UV dose. I recorded these numbers over a period of time. I have a list of dates and the UV number and Ozone thickness in Dobson units for each date. I'm trying to do calculations which confirm the link between the two variables. I've tried to do T-Tests and I just can't seem to figure out if I'm using the right one. I'm not sure if I should use paired or unpaired. I'm fairly sure I should be using assumed equal variance, but I could be wrong. I have to build a scale 6 story model tower with 4-6in per story to survive on a shake table (to simulate a earthquake) out of raw spaghetti noodles and hot melt glue. 100 gram weights will be placed on the 2nd 4th 6th floors. I'm having difficulty understanding what this problem is asking of me. "Does the Laplace transform have a fixed point? Is there a function [math]f(t)[/math] defined on [math] 0 < t < \infty [/math], such that [math] \int_{0}^{\infty} f(t)e^{-st} dt = f(s) [/math] There is an extra condition that [math]f[/math] is not identically 0."
