John Cuthber
Both are correct. Does the question say anything else?
Sensei
Cu2O has Cu in I oxidation state, (Copper(I) oxide) while CuO has Cu in II oxidation state. (Copper(II) oxide) Empirical difference between them is reddish color of Cu2O, while CuO is black. Edited April 26, 2016 by Sensei
