This topic preplexes me, and it's kind of out of my knowlage range, due to the fact that im a social hermit. Will we ever find out why and over time do they release info if it was planned, like 70 years from now?

Engineering-wise, we have the NIST report. Do you have problems with its rigor or methodology?

 

Word of caution, we won't be talking about conspiracies here in the science sections. What and how are better questions for science. Why is more for philosophers and tabloid journalists.

Here is the home page of the WTC Disaster Study - it was well funded, rigorous, and exhaustive. Unfortunately there are many who wish to unearth arcana, conspiracies, and intrigue. Despite the 9/11 attack being a sink for internet theorists, alternative historians, and counter-factualistas (*) no evidence worthy of the name has ever been found to cast serious doubt on the above rational report.
