Latent heat

A vessel of mass 80 g(S. H. C. = 0.8 J/g) contains 250 g of water at 35°C. Calculate the amount of ice at 0°C, which must be added to it, so that the final temperature is 5°C. ( Latent heat of ice = 340 J/g).

You have to start by finding out the amount of energy (latent heat (of fusion in this case)) 'Q' to melt the ice Q=MLf then add that to the amount of energy required to raise the the temp from 0 - 5 degrees Q=MCΔT. Add the Q's together. then use that amount to find the mass of ice
