Headphones not detected in windows 10

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic but I have windows 10 installed on my laptop with Realtek audio drivers up to date but no audio manager. All of the sudden, the audio is playing from both headphones and speakers. The computer does not detect the headphones but there is audio coming out of them. Can anypody tell me how to disable the speakers? Thanks.

I have the same software and headphones you do in my laptop. And even once had your same problem.

What I did to rectify it..

....right click on the sound control icon, I get Open Volume Mixer, Playback Devices, Recording Devices, Sounds, and Troubleshoot Sound Problems.

Uninstall both sound drivers in Device Manager > Sound Controllers then Reboot. Select the red cross on top in Device Manager after clicking the driver entry and follow prompts with OK. They are native drivers so will reinstall on a reboot.
