How to linear this equation

Featured Replies

First 'linear' is an adjective, not a verb. The verb meaning "to make linear" is "linearize". Second you can linearize an equation in a given variable. What variable are you referring to? I would think "t" but it does not appear explicitely. Third, you cannot linearize a formula for all possible values of the variable. You can only linearize it in a small interval around a given value. What value of the variable do you want to linearize about? Fourth, many people will not download files when they do not know the author- too great a risk of viruses.

if any function is a linear function, then this function should satisfy these two conditions below

1) x and y are vectors. f(x+y)= f(x) + f(y)

2) when α is a scalar and x is a vector,then f(α.x) = α.f(x)

or only this is equivalent ,too.

*** α,β are scalar , x and y are vectors f(αx+βy) = αf(x)+βf(y)
