Can we create transformers with DNA?

I'm not sure if a thread like this existed, but basically DNA creates human body. We're not necessarily creating something conscious, but how about DNA with inorganic materials capable of creating a plane or a car?

DNA encodes proteins. If you work out a way to make those proteins produce inorganic structures, then it could done.

 

In fact, this already happens. Look at seashells, for example.

Hmm, I was thinking that inorganic structure's bond's might be too hard to break, I'm thinking carbon atoms, but cool I'll take a look at seashells
