Some are clearly not, the examples I gave, why does a child need to know about the rules for marriage, slavery, adultery and warfare?

Some of the historical texts would have been passed to children.

It depends on the context the teacher provides, clearly...

If a child grows up in a war zone, it has to be taught 'how to survive a war zone'... 😉
