What do you mean by an anhydride of ferrocene?

There's nothing you can add water to and get ferrocene.

Similarly there's nothing you can add water to and get adamantane.

I have found the reaction procedure, where they use adamantane carboxylic acid and DCC to form adamantyl anhydride, i was just wondering if it could work also for ferrocene acid...

Well, that would have a similar structure as acetic anhydride, but with an adamantane group dangling from either end. Ferrocene is not an acid. It is a Fe²⁺ ion sandwitched by two cyclopentadiene anions.

However, if one of those rings has a carboxylic acid function, then yes it might be possible.
