swansont
hyperphysics has some good explanations (go to the solid state section for super-and semiconductors) Eric Weisstein's world of physics also has some good explanations If you want a really thorough foundations, though, you'll need to go to the library and read books. DQW
If you are an engineering student, I highly recommend you get a copy of a good Materials Science text. Callister is excellent - worth buying, if you can.
