herme3
I was wondering if you needed a screensaver for LCD monitors, like the ones in laptop computers? My school had some of the old CRT monitors, and they didn't have any screensavers on them. Now the desktop is actually burned into the screen. If you load an application, you can still see the desktop in the background. Could this happen to LCD monitors too?

Silencer
Those must be some old CRT's. I didn't think that still happened.

Molotov
Its a good idea to turn a LCD off when not in use because pixels have a tendency to die on you with age.
