inertia of the galileo

Featured Replies

1. a pseudo force acts on a body that is at relative motion or rest to another body if the body is disturbed.

- it is the force of friction/cohesion that exists between the two bodies. a sudden change in velocity does not correspond with an equal change in the dynamic cohesive force causing relative moment, known as the force of inertia.

2. a body reaches terminal velocity in motion against friction.

- any frictional force exactly equals the force of gravity?

Friction and cohesion are entirely different forces with entirely different causes and properties.

What was the rest of your post about please?

ooooooh angry bird!

how does cohesion/friction match gravity in equal proportion all the time? the centre of gravity of a large body e.g. earth, matches the centre of cohesive force of a smaller object e.g. a glass of water, provided there's motion but that's only the medium of observation of the forces.

Do you wish to discuss cohesion or do you wish to discuss friction?
