induction of heat

Featured Replies

can we produce heat by rubbing same poles of magnet like north and north ?

In some cases, certainly. It's usually done with a magnetic field and a conductor, but you could get eddy currents in conductive magnetic materials.

but my brother told me that magnetic field can never do work

It doesn't. A changing magnetic field induces an electric field, which causes the current. The electric field does the work.
