Opportunity gets a carwash

Featured Replies

The martian explorer "Opportunity" has had its solar panels cleared overnight by some unknown mechanism. The panels are pumping out 900 watt-hours per day, near their maximum output. The other rover, "Spirit", has dropped its power output to 400 watt-hours per day.

interesting.. probably just a large gust of wind or something... i highly doubt some martian just came along and gave (to them) a UFO a carwash!

Yes, I was sure that had happened before.

It's quite unlikely that some dust devils happen to swipe the rovers clean. And ExtraSense is probably jumping with joy right now. :))
