kind of like Einstein Just a little Crazier... Or?

I have my own theory for gravity... It involves space as not a force that pushes as Einstein explains but pulls ... Think of it as like a game of tug of war... Where the knot in the middle is like the earth... Space pulls all around it therefore earth is a sphere... The photons from the sun keep us in orbit and gives the earth its orbit as well... And could even explain the expanding universe... What goes up must come down... Except for light...i know this goes against the theory of relativity in some aspects but it makes sense to me... The sun leaves seven or eight pounds of photons on earth every year, one side of the earth gets heated up so it turns away from the sun to cool down...
My theory explains both pushing and pulling think of the right side of the knot being pulled by the guys on the left side of the knot...and so therefore the space is pushing on the right side of the knot because the guys on the left are pulling and the earths orbit is because the suns rays heat up one side of the earth so it turns away from the sun to cool down
And the universe is expanding because all of the photons and whatnot are pushing everything away
But then the planets stay in proximity to the sun because ... Well I have to think this one through...

Oh ok so where the sun is being pulled it is large so it takes up most of the pulling power of space around it... So give and take some power and viola... There you have it people.... Where's my nobel I know I'm not a scientist but my dad was one, he taught me everything .... And according to science I have 2 Phd's in my DNA muhahahaha



this would explain why planets orbit faster when they're closer to the sun ... heat rises... photons escaping into space... oh and blackholes... they're just bodies of matter out in space with no nearby photons so they begin to collect into a massive body and then collapse into itself to have a stronger pull than space? amirite?

only a certain amount of the light spectrum is visible matter absorbs part of the spectrum reflects as well

 

Now can something like a big ok planet absorb all light? Isn't matter mostly composed of "empty space?"

The amount of light from a planet does not follow the inverse-square behavior of gravity.

I don't know, I think the simplest answer is still always the best. What is simpler than cables connecting the Earth's north and south poles to the Sun's north and south poles and as the gears on the Sun's poles turn, they turn the cable, in turn making the Earth turn. I always thought this the easiest explanation and everyone is overthinking it all. All the planets are connected to the Sun and all the moons are connected to their planets. Viola, removes all the unnecessary complexity and math mumbo jumbo.

As long as that answer is useful.

 

Okay you want to model the Sun-Earth system via "cables", fine. You now need to do the mathematics and see if you model can be matched well with nature. If it can, then you have a good model that is potentially useful.

 

As it stands right now Newtonian gravity and the idea of a "field" seems to work okay for describing our orbits.

 

Similar statements apply to solardye, do the modelling here and see if you get close to nature.

 

For both of you, I expect the inverse square law maybe the hard one to explain.

Considering that the planets, let alone the moons, orbit in different planes than each other, how you keep the cables from tangling up?

Gravity is a very weak force we only perceive it as a strong force because we are tiny creatures here in this very thin atmosphere if you were out in the empty space you could probably move a planet by yourself ... Think about it this way... How can nothing be stronger than something?

What?

 

You would need to overcome the bond between the planet and its sun.

 

The Earth is bombarded by objects from space and none of these have shifted our orbit measurably.
