I know this question doesn't belong in this forum but I don't care, I need answers... ! Okay, can anyone tell me if it's possible for there to be an airborn chemical/infection that can severely damage the body and give the victims MEMORY LOSS? Another way of phrasing this question: Is there such thing as a chemical that can give people memory loss? If there isn't...is it at least a believable tragedy in a movie/fictional story?

Marijuana for one.

 

Basically any chemical that kills brain cells can lead to memory loss, some chemicals are stronger than others.

Victims of Gulf War Syndrom report memory loss, so I suppose its feasable.

 

"neurological symptoms -- fatigue, memory loss, difficulty concentrating and sleep disturbances, and physical symptoms -- digestive problems, joint pain, and heart and circulatory difficulties"

Those are largely psychological; although genetic susceptibility is a factor, it comes down to the relationship between mind and body.
