Chemistry Laboratorys

Featured Replies

I own a chem lab and have a question, ok now in most chem labs they have a black acid proof paint on the table tops, i need to know where to get that paint and any other information about it. In my chem lab i have many wood cabnits that are very nice and are made for chem labs, i have 2 green glass sliding door chemical cabnits, and all that stuff but when i made a table to go in there i wanted it to match the black table tops, and be asid proof, but i couldnt find any information about the paint so can you help me?

p.s. does anyone else have a chem lab of there own? if so tell me about it.

Hammerite would work just as well and it`s cheaper.

I have a general lab, I do chem in there too and I don`t worry about acid burns etc..., I think it added a certain charm and character to the furniture :)

shows hard work has taken place, lol.

Have we all got our little labs? I know iv got my room where i do all my bits and bobs.

Beats watching football all day.

We need to take some pic's and post them.

I'd ove to see others place of worship. lol.

lol. mines only a spare room with all my bits and bobs. (some one the floor) I'm starting to sort everything out into little boxes as I'm getting a lot of stuff.

lifes great when you find somehting to do. lol.

yeah but mine's in my excessively dissheveled basement. there is almost no lighting, there is no ventilation whatsoever, and the ceiling is about 6 inches too short for my 6'2.5" frame

I feel for you, I'm about as tall as you. which is funny as my mum is about 5 foot 4 inch, very small, lol.

yeah, my parents are short as well, which is amusing. anyway, i'll be expanding my lab as soon as i can earn about $250...which could take awhile. once i get the new stuff i'll probably move the lab to somewhere else

whats the difference between borosilicate and pyrex glass because i can get a 250ml flat bottom flask borosilicate for £1.86 or 250ml flat bottom flask pyrex for £4.68

Same here but the ceiling is plenty high for me (I’m 5'10 or somewhere around there).

A few times I have had to stop what I was doing and leave the lab because the fumes where so bad. Yuck. I have also broken a few pieces of glassware on the concrete floor which I’m going to have to replace when I get some money. I really need a job.

haha, i feel the same. i need about $120 for a hotplate and another $100 for some more chemicals and lab equipment. i'm going to be a merchant tho; buying various goods and selling high to people at school. and nah, dont get the wrong impression; im not going to be dealing drugs
