Simple Question

Featured Replies

I am only a fifth grader, so would appreciate it if no one laughed at me for asking this question but I cant find the answer ANYWHERE........

What was the first man-made object to go faster than the speed of sound?

If you could tell me it would be greatly appreciated, and yes, I did try to find the answer myself but failed.

probably a Bullet or an old explosive discovered during the days of Alchemy.

Mercury Fulminate is one such product.

HI hope this isn't too late but it was the whip. I am absolutely sure.

yes, the wip 'crack' is the sound barrier being broken.

Well probably more likely, A wet towel!

Nah...more likely a whip I think. They probably had whips before shower rooms (I'm just guessing).

excellent point, whips existed long before ordinance, I must have fire power on the brain! :))
