  3. isnt immortality or anything near that practically impossible because your average heart BPM goes down by one each year, so eventually the heart of a person would beat less than once a minute, and the person woul be dead
  4. i don't see what these figures are trying to prove.
  5. I have your glasses. I'm keeping them hostage. If you phone the police, I will kill them.
  6. "where did you go on holiday last year?" "i heard your grandma recently went into hospital, is she alright?" "did you watch the football match last night?" "are you going to glastonbury festival this year?" just being conversational and polite...

  8. I have a huge Bismuth crystal at home that I bought for about £1 in Germany. I read somewhere they are slightly radioactive! Is this only the denser isotopes, or is this just a lie?
  9. If you kept all gravity the same, weight would not vary, however, this is near to impossible, as you can't just ask a planet to stop moving
  10. I'm laughing. 'The Guy' truly is hilarious! I signed up to make sure he doesn't feel sad and I hope you will too. Remember, for every person who signs up to this, no difference can be made to the state of the Earth, but it will make one sad man generally more happy.
  11. I put this in the religion page before noticing this topic I personally believe in evoloution, but this is a very strange topic: How has an eye so perfect been evolved, with a retina, optic nerve, iris, pigment, pupil, lens etc...? In a debate we had at my school, the people against's response was that other animals had better eyes than us, so I just want to make it clear I am talking about the eye, not the human eye. Also, if it has evolved, what did it evolve from? What was it before it became a thing to see? I want to make it clear that I'm not a loony who doesn't believe in evolution despite all the compounding evidence, I merely want to see if anyone has suggestions on this?

  13. I think animal testing where necessary and where it is in aid of great medicinal advances is OK, but there's a company called HLS who basically does contracted killings of animals. In 2001(I think) they tried to snap the backbones of 70 beagle puppies just to test if this machine was strong enough for usage. Surely there could have been another way? Luckily, this plan was abolished due to mass protests. For further information: http://www.huntingdon.com/ http://www.shac.net
  14. The government can't risk putting more people into the position of Ken Bigley.
