Spyman Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 It is not the first time, the Jupiters South Equatorial Belt, (SEB), has disappeared before and it seems to happens at irregular intervals: This is not the first time that the SEB has disappeared from view. "The SEB fades at irregular intervals, most recently in 1973-75, 1989-90, 1993, 2007, 2010," said John Rogers, director of the British Astronomical Association's Jupiter Section.
