Optics Section

Featured Replies

I was just thinking, as I posted my last thread, why isnt there an optics section under Physics. It could be used for discussing...hmmm...optics, and such.

lol

yes I want it.

I want to learn optics

It is very interesting

Under physics or biology is ok

A new forum for one thread?

That's what General Science is for guys.

OK, maybe I was a bit glib.

Put it this way - we compressed the exobiology forum into the evolution forum because it "only" had 320 threads. Why would we make a new forum for a subject which, in 2 years, has had fewer threads than I can count on my hand?

Etc.

Errr... yeah probably posts now I think about it.

It had more than 80 threads though, as I am on "show 40 per page" and it was on its third page.

Mmmm... i did not read this... but its somesort of a nice idea.. though the lack of interest may be present....

But optics with matrix calculations.... are really difficult and intresting....

:S...

Well Im not the biggest optics buff, but I was just posting something relating to light refraction and I figured that we might as well have an optics section.

:)

I think it may be a very good idea in the future, when we start to get a few more users that are interested in this kind of thing. But for the time being, it's just not feasible to create an entire forum that probably isn't going to be used very much. We just scaled down a lot of forums to remove the amount of subforums around here, so it's the kind of thing we're trying to avoid.

lol, thats ok, I just thought it might be convenient to have a more detailed subforum
