Featured Replies

Hello

I have installed Longhorn over Xp and every time when I restart my computer, there it apears a Microsoft boot manager which I would choose to go with Longhorn or Xp, but both choices are actually the same...both operate Longhorn....Xp is gone

My problem is how to clean the boot manager and every time operate Longhorn sraight ahead....

Any help?

boot up your xp cd and enter the recovery console and type the command fixmbr and that should do it. i wouldnt really recomend you haveing longhorn as your main os though.

You installed Longhorn over XP?

You didn't use a partition?

Wait, longhorn ? is this like a publik beta or somthing ?

Also why on earth would you install a beta OS over your old OS???

Not even close to a beta yet. Early alpha test versions, beta won't be till next year at the earliest.

Just out of interest. How did you get an Alpha of Lonhorn?
