Well I managed 369 :D

 

I'm red-green colour blind, so I was interested to see how I'd do...as I suspected; badly.

 

On the first row at least, a green block would appear to change into a red block and vice versa, including the end blocks, which made things rather tricky.

I am particaly color blind and a manged a 124 whcih is great for me since I cant tell red- green and brown apart

Okay, so maybe it goes from "a number equal to or higher than 369" down to zero.

Fascinating test! I can't wait to show this to some of my students. Some of those shadings are INCREDIBLY subtle.

 

Reminds me a lot of this famous optical illusion:
