hey, just went to the uni library and it has so many chemistry books its not funny lol. I have borrowed like ten huge books on it. My mum just laughed.

you`ll find alot of the stuff repated throughout them, it would be a good idea to make plenty of notes too!

The public library in my town sadly does not allow people to check out more than three books of the same subject at a time. And much that I want to take out sadly resides in residence.

I`de recon that 3 books of any single subject such as chem would be more than ample anyway for the alloted time

I know having more than that would do my head in totaly!

I don't know where you live, but usually if you chat to the staff at a library they will make exceptions to the rule. If they know you, they will trust you with more items. It's how I got a rare woodcut copy of Dante's inferno and an obscure land rights reference maps out of the British library, when they are not available for public viewing and not leant out.

 

It's quite nice to know how far being polite gets you. Possibly deferential and insistent if you can manage it.

anyway my town library wont let me take out anymore than fivebooks*sigh* although its so small its only got about 3 books worth borrowing
