Is anybody else getting the colour/animated google ads appearing at the top of the page ?

 

For some reason I keep getting an 'Easypizza' ad covering the logo et.c

Yea, that really irks me. I've got it set where only TEXT ads are supposed to show. I wonder what the deal is

Covering the logo? What size monitor do you have? Unless you're under 800x600 (or you have a weird DPI setting) the ads should stay clear of the logo.

I posted at work, where SFN is a small box next to my other apps. You're right..it doesn't cover the logo, it's just my attention is immediately drawn to the ad.

do SFN money for the ads? or is it just like charity?

We use them to pay for the server and such.

Whoever fixed it, thanks, SFN is now easier on the eyes...of course, depending on who's post I'm reading.

Alas, they have returned...on the plus side, there's no garish Easy Pizza ad.
