searching for science articles: tip (FF)

Featured Replies

if using windows and trying to copy/paste long article names (i.e., with linebreaks) into a search box, the search-string terminates at the first line break.

i.e.,

Hello, i am

a scientific

article.

Smith J.

copy/paste it, and you'll end up searching for "Hello, i am", which sucks.

to fix, in firefox, type about:config into the address bar and hit return, copy/paste editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines into the address bar, right-click on the line that comes up, select change value, and set it to 2.

now, you can paste multiple lines into the searchbox.

The teminate-at-first-line-break behaviour bugged me so much, and I was so happy when i found this setting, that i figured i'd share :)

Backspace works for me but nice job :D
