I seem to have the opposite problem, none of my SNES cartridges work, I have to blow in them and hit them before they load. They also freeze up and lose saved data. Maybe the rough coaxing is not good for them.

 

the problem's probably with your snes, rather than your cartridges.

I've got an N64, all the games that I use regularly (maybe one once a month) work perfectly except one which has lost its sound Never been banged or anything...

 

TBH most storage devices have a limited life due to the materials used and the recording methods.

 

Perhaps they should print everything out and put it in their fileing cabinate.... paper and ink lasts quite well if kept right... And you can throw it around so it's durable...

As for water you can get plastic paper that I belive is pretty much water proof, and can work with normal printers. I used to know a company that used it...
