JustStuit
You should have [math]\pi[/math] in there somewhere and 7.5' is too small.
chemfreak
yea it's 7.5 * 3. (we use 3 as an approxamation to ease our lives(don't I have a wonderfull math teacher))
Karnage
use formula for area of circle to figure out yur ans
Cloud
First you have to add the 1.5 feet with 4.5 feet to get the diameter of the table cloth. Then use the formula for area of circle (as per Karnage). You can express the final answer in cm^2 or ft^2 (Your answer should be written 7.5ft (squared)) Its wrong by the way. ___________________________________________________________ Hope that helped. chemfreak
Uhhhhhhh. Yeah that helped. Gracias guys!!!!!
the tree
o.k. look at the whole table cloth as a big circle, with a diameter of 4.5+1.5+1.5 (if you don't get that, draw yourself a picture). As we know the radius is half the diameter so that'd be [math]\frac{7.5}{2}[/math] or 3.75. If you don't know that [math]A=\pi r^2[/math] then quit now. Where r is 3.75... [math]A=\pi 3.75^2[/math] =44.17ish.
Cloud
4.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 (sorry - you have to add 1.5 twice) - my bad [delete this post]
