Surviving Abortion

Featured Replies

A friend of mine lately told me that his mother had gotten an abortion when she was pregnant with him. Apparently what they thought was a successful abortion only removed his twin and that he was left unnoticed until too late. Is this possible or is he just looking for attention?

I don't know, but I will bet that his nickname is "lucky".

...but highy unlikely. My bet is he's full of it.

it is possible that a second twin was missed if the mother has a bicornate uterus. I have seen abortions being performed before, and from my experience i find it highly unlikely that the procedure in a "normal" unicavity uterus would not result in any injury to the second unaborted twin. I would logically assume that if somehow (although not plausible) the twin were to survive, it would be completely healthy..

i missed a word out last time and id like to edit my sentence. What i meant to say is that : "....it would NOT be completely healthy."
