So you are studying applications of partial differential equations.

So what have you done so far ?

What happens if you substitute for v and v' in the density equation ?

Do you understand that the 'flux' q, will be the integral of the density over some region defined by x and t ?

v apparently is a function of [tex]\rho[/tex] and [tex]\rho[/tex] is a function of both x and t so what does v' mean? Is it a derivative?  With respect to x or v?
