Hey everyone... I am desperate! Can someone help me with the synthesis of COOHCH2NHCH3 from CH2CH2? 

CH2CH2 => HO-CH2CH2Cl => ClCH2COOH => ClCH2COOCH3 => CH3NHCH2COOCH3 => CH3NHCH2COOH

At the stage when Ch3NH2 react with ClCH2COOCH3 i think we will have a mixure of 1o,2o,3o amines and we wont be able to get the one product i want.. is there any other way including the reaction of RCOCL+ RNH2?
