Lift Phobia

Featured Replies

Are there any accidents where the lift cables snap and the lift experiences freefall?

only for a a single floor, there have never been any recorded deaths due to lift failure IIRC. at least not as a passenger, there have been deaths outside of the carriage tho.

Me and a few friends were in a lift once the doors didn't open so we tried the roof ala die hard but that didn't work so we just pried the doors open a walked out. No fatalities there :)

haha... i had a phobia of lifts since five. My mum and dad were placing luggage into the lift when the lift doors suddenly closed and I was inside. I was crying like hell though the lift wasn't even moving! Since then, I dreamt of being in a place full of lifts and whenever I went into one, I would be trapped in it. Anyway, now the fear's waning...:D
