Potential energy of parallel plates?

I ask this as a teacher, not a student... if you have three sets of parallel plates... one of +2a and +a electric potentials, one of of +a and -a electric potentials, and another of +a and 0 which has the higher potential energy?

 

I assume it's +a and -a as it relates to potential difference, I just want to make sure.

You would have to state what your reference base is.
