Iodine + Vitamin C = ?

Featured Replies

So I dropped iodine than some magnesium ascorbate in the same jar of distilled water (my infection isn't going to beat itself, right?)

First it went green, than it went chalk white, and didn't taste like iodine at all. So I looked up that it reacts.

I would like to know ANY of the following:

(1) if this is the correct forum to be asking this in, as it's for a health application
(2) is the iodine, and the vitamin C still absorbable biologically?
(3) is there any other common things that would cause one of these things to react like that?

Cheers!
