  1. Liberty may be the root word, but that doesnt mean that politically speaking liberal = liberty. Dude, Im well informed on science and I still put those so called mystic beliefs before science. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are uninformed and ignorant. I find your above statement to be very uninformed and ignorant.
  2. Oh heck no. ATP is the single most important molecule in metabolism. The breaking of the phosphate bond on ATP releases an immense amount of energy. It is the energy released by these bonds that supply the energy that runs all cellular processes. The entire process of respiration is to produce ATP from sugars.

  4. Photoautotroph. More specific names of photosynthetic bacteria include cyanobacteria.

  6. Lets see, thats one of about 19 or so other theories. I highly doubt that this is the sole cause of aging, if its even a major reason at that.

  8. Think of it this way: Photosynthesis captures light energy in carbon molecules Respiration releases the energy stored in carbon molecules So overall, I'd say that you got it. Sounds right, the empiracal formula for most every carbohydrate can be expressed as X number of Carbon and Y number of H2O molecules. There may be exceptions, however, so I dont know.

  10. As far as Im concerned theres not much difference between active and reactive.

  12. There is one more characteristic of the Noble gasses that seems to have not been mentioned. The Noble gasses are that way because not only are their outer shells filled, but they're neutral at the same time. So what you have is happy little atoms who are not very sociable with the rest of the atomic world. My highschool teacher would refer to atoms with their outer shells full as happy.

  14. And they all pretty much look the same.
  15. I really dont get where your going with this appeal to peoples emotions. Are you agreeing or disagreeing? In case you sont understand and could use some clarification, essentials are exluded from the sales tax. Medical care is an essential and would be tax extempt. So stop you blubbering.
  16. My bad, all I saw was nuclear charge. While this may help explain the physics of electron removal I think ionization energy is still far more practical for this topic.
  17. Sure it does, ionization energy combines the different factors such as atomic radii and nuclear charge into something more meaningful. Not really, the greatest factor would be distance from the nucleus. nuclear charge would be the next major factor.
  18. Oh give me a break, if I feel like complimenting a girl, whats it to you?
  19. I dont think he was refering to you.
  20. Depends on which half-reaction your talking about. In the half-reaction for the cathode the more reactive element will be the one that gains electrons the easiest. For the anode the more reactive element is the more willing to give up electrons. I think its related to their ionization energies, but that may be wrong.
  21. So many hot girls on this site, Im pleasently surprised.
  22. If one were to exlude essentials like food and clothing then a poor person that carefully managed their money would not pay that much in taxes. The rich who would spend millions on luxuries would pay the bulk of the tax. Does someone who make 15000 a year really need a large screen tv or a new car?
