how about this.

Hydrogen is lighter than Oxygen

so i capture the Hydrogen in a flask when i electrlyse water and hopefully

the gas that remains will be pure oxygen.

Could this work.

I Know that lead oxide is used in pyro for a sparkling and crackling effect.

Sugar+KNO3 does work better for rockets.

But i see no reason not to use BP as a core burner for rocket engines

Would Mg + KNO3 perform well in Salutes and other pyro stuff.

I've got a question.

I made my mortar today.

But now i'm thinking of a projectile to put in.

I'll use a film container.

Would this work.

Put a couple of grams of Magnesium Flash powder in the middle

then around it some Aluminium shreds.

Would this make a crackling effect

Also

Would the Al. need some oxidant or something to make it burn.

Got a technical question about pyro.

Now how many lead balls should i put inside.

I figured that 20 is too little.... 50 maybe or 60.

The lead balls are exactly 1cm in diameter.

I've got to ask you something about BP

Someone told that if i pour some hot water over KNO3

so it doesnt' Completely disolve and then add C and S

that this would make better BP than grinding and mixing

and Grinding and mixing........

10 days ago i ordered 100 grams of Magnesium powder.

It came today

So i mixed 2 grams of Mg and 2 grams of KNO3

WOW

When i lit it

Can't see anything for 2 seconds.

This stuff is strong.

It's prooly more safe but not safe than a Propane cannon.
