  1. You could use a circular array of photo sensors with a lazer pointing at the center one from the other side of the ship. Any movement forward/back up/down would result in a deflection of the beam. One front to back you get side ways movement and combined you get pitch and roll. With a computer and callibrated sensors you could tell if you are still, accelerating turning etc and by the rate of acceleration etc always know where you are.

  2. I see what you're saying, but the problem requires there to be a total of four inputs ;). Thanks for everyone's input on this! :)

Have you done combination and sequential logic. You have used it in your design but from what you said it seems like you may not have got it. Thats if I'm getting it in context.

  3. Hang on it could be that both views are correct. God created Adam and Eve. They went at it like rabbits and after a couple of hundred years of in breading their offspring de evolved into chimps. Then as the chimp population grew and seperated re refinement of genes took place in certain areas re evolving the chimps good gene lines back into humans. Some of the isolated pockets of bad genes remained as chimps and other speices. Some parts of America still have in breeding problems and also the missing link. :D

  4. I am in my second year doing a BS in comp science as well.

We are doing similar stuff. A pretty bad function I must say' date=' no real simplification is possible.

As far as implementing using two input gates, that is always possible, but your drawing would then become too complicated. There is an easy way to go from n input to 2 input.

PS : By this time I realise there is absolutely nothing that YT has not done.[/quote'] Was this for me it seems like it is but it may be a general response. I just ask as I don't want to be ignorant and I had an experience where I was asked questions in a board I forgot I posted on.

  5. Cool :)

I thought you may have been doing second year electronics or something. I did`nt think they went as basic as Gates nowadays in Comp Science' date=' I actualy used to Teach Computer Architecture in the mid to late 80`s :)[/quote'] Is there anything you can't do besides but not excluding leaping tall buildings with a single bound.

  6. Ok' date=' so if 10/5 is 2, what does the 2 signify?

    It's a process of evaluation.

if 0/0=0/0 by definition, then 1-1/0=0/0 by arithmetic. What proof can you show me that 1-1 doesn't equal 0?

Mathematicians have said 0/0 is undefined because they have found that it's undefined through standard mathematical processes not the other way around, saying that you can't use standard mathematical processes to show what 0/0 is because it's undefined and thus is undefined. This is faulty logic Aeschylus.

P.S.: Tell your dog good job.[/quote'] 2 Signifys two ones. As I said I'm no good at math so I can't realy argue math with any one but it seems simple in my simpleton like capacity.

EDIT. Rex says thanks and any time. The outcome of the arguement is logical, its the question that does not make sense. Its like saying if I put one nothing on top of one nothing I get a pile of nothing.

  7. Use step pressure to drive it. Use a fan to blow air into a chamber to create pessure, heat sink the chamber and blow air past it. Allow the pressurised air to leak into clothing slightly inflating it and then it will leak away through the holes in the fabric. Constant circulation of air will keep humidity down around the skin and allow heat to be carried away faster.

  8. What kind of dog is he?

Sadie has some other tricks too. She likes to goose the cats. She does a "hit and run number"' date=' because they turn around and swat her.

However - she knows that Louie, who we took in when his owner had to go to a nursing home, has been declawed. When she sticks her cold nose in his rear, he turns around and swats her, but she just stands there and lets him do it. She figured out he can't hurt her.[/quote'] He is a cross labrador/german shepard. His name is Rex and his best talent is stealth sofa infiltration. We can sit on the sofa talking, watching tv what ever and suddenly notice he's got in between use somehow or he is lying behind us. We don't see him get up he's just there.

  9. I`ll bet it didn`t escape the door though (farraday cage).

No its just super heated gas and rises to the top out of the way of the wave in pulses. I couldn't see what it did to the roof of the micro before it cooled though. I wouldn't want to try it with mine. Well I would but you know what I mean.

  10. ask the mesh on your Microwave door :)
I in no way recomend trying this but on braniac a tv program loosely based on science but realy just and excuse to prat about, a lit cocktail stick was placed in a microwave supported with play dough. It produced a basic plasma display. Quite cool.
  11. Too many ations. By straight up I was thinking north pole moving to south pole. Do you think it would be possible to create a signal of this strength in this way. I suppose an iron deposit may act as an antena or something. Blike How strong is the signal. YT Can crystals be directly stimulated to emit radio of that frequency, I mean in a laser sort of way. Could it just be that one of their microwaves is on the blink.

  12. We have one of those simple door closers on the living room door so it just closes to but he can pull it open with his claws. He goes for a drink or a chill at the bottom of the stairs but when he's in between tasks he pushes the door ever so slightly open and pokes his eye through the crack to check we're still there. He's generaly a bit of a looney but I wouldn't have him any other way.

  13. If we wanted to contact as many planets as possible, would we not broadcast straight up and gradualy angle the dish down a bit per rotation. What if the source is just a crystal formation on a moon or planet that is energized by radiation from its sun. The variation in the formation and its direct angle to the sun may cause variation of transmission following a pattern based on the body's rotation.

  14. My dog does all the running deep breath yelpy bubble noises too. If we inhale sharply to sneeze or cough he legs it out of the room and he hates the vac. We got him as a pup from someone who had a dog and a cat already but decided they didn't want him. He is the most mild mannered afectionate dog (probably because I treat him like a baby) and he was a very cute pup. I had wondered if it was that he has a longer coat and may have triggered alergies in the previous owner. Does your dog spy on you through a slightly open door.
