Does anybody know how to get the client's machine local time using vbscript? I am having trouble getting the right time because the server that I am using is in america. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply, but I don't get how these "robots" automatically go through the internet and use every link they can find, is that done on a word based system or is it done on ip addresses?
Does anyone know how a seach engine work - ie google, is it done by searching ips and retreiving their host names, then search the meta tag and put them in sections?
maybe the sp2 sets the computer to delete the desktop settings everytime the computer turns off, i don't know. it happens on my computer too. but not only with the firewall.
i think it might be because when laughing too much the brain sends out too much signal to the body causing you to cry, i don't know. Or it might be because of the abnormal input and output of oxygen and carbon dioxide to cause crying. i don't know about the science in crying so don't take my answer seriously, it was just a guess.
Does anybody know where windows stores wallpaper settings, i've tried looking in the registry and changing every single likely settings but the wallpaper just doesn't change. I've tried restarting as well and that didn't make it work either. Please Help

hummm.....are you using a router? if thats not the case then you should somehow make your firewall ignore the ftp server software, by the way what firewall are you using and how are you try to access your ftp server?
Is it possible to link up electronic equipments -eg : a simple light bulb with the parallel port to switch circuits on and off? I know how to program in vb as well so will that help? I am hoping to use my computer to control some circuits... please help
