If the earth is spinning, and earth's core is spinning, how is it not possible to trap that rotation energy???
You would need a position that is stationary with regard to the earth in order to extract energy (excluding tidal as mentioned above)

mayan calender says its the end of the world.
even in kuran there are saying's that world going to end in 2012
hindu religion as also says that it's the end.
WHAT DOES SCIENCE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS???
That they were wrong.

Ok, so I've been looking at self publishing through Smashwords, does anyone have any experience of them?

Thanks ajb,
I perhaps should have specified that this will actually not be a scientific publication but your advice is still sound.

Hi all,
Anyone have any experience of publishing a book?
How difficult is it? How much does it cost? Is it better to self publish? Is it easier/cheaper to publish an ebook?
Any advice you can give will be gladly received.
Thanks

It's really not hard to fake a youtube video

The causes of what you feel are exactly the same in all three scenarios. With one exception, you do not feel gravitation. (That one exception: You would feel extreme tidal forces; these would cause you to undergo spaghettification. You'd feel yourself being pulled apart.)
Local experiments (e.g., what you feel) cannot sense gravity. You feel forces other than gravity. You feel the floor pushing up on the parts of your body in contact with the floor. That's the normal force. You feel this when you push against a wall or pick up a book. This normal force induces stresses and strains on your body as that force propagates through your body. You feel those stresses and strains.
Your inner ear contains the biological equivalent of an accelerometer. It works just like an accelerometer does. Some parts are (somewhat) free to follow an inertial path, other parts are more or less rigidly attached to your skeletal structure, and yet other parts sense the stresses that result when the accelerometer case (or your skeleton) is forced to follow a non-inertial path. So what's an inertial path? This is one of the key places where Newtonian physics and general relativity differ. In Newtonian mechanics, Newton's falling apple does not follow an inertial path. It does in general relativity. Einstein described his realization of this key distinction as his happiest thought.
I'm going to have to disagree I'm afraid. While accelleration causes the same effect it is not the same thing as gravity. Gravity is a force caused by the distortion of space time generated by mass, accelleration is a ficticious force

The video is a fake, there are hundreds of them on youtube

It's exactly the same thing. Suppose you wake up in a strange room. You sit up and try to figure out where you are. The last thing you remember is going out to a bar with some friends on December 21 to celebrate the end of the world (or maybe not the end of the world). How can you tell, just based on feeling your butt on the floor whether
Aside: This new interface bites. Completely.- It was the end of the world. The evil aliens who brought about the end of the world kidnapped you, brought you up to their rotating space station, and are about to do unthinkable things to you. The space station's rotation gives the illusion of normal Earth gravity.
- It was the end of the world. The benevolent aliens who foresaw the end of the world rescued you and brought you up to their rocket, which is currently accelerating at 1g toward planet X.
- It wasn't the end of the world. You had too much too drink last night and your friends wouldn't let you drive home. One of them took you to their place, where you promptly crashed on the floor.
- It was the end of the world. The evil aliens who brought about the end of the world kidnapped you, brought you up to their rotating space station, and are about to do unthinkable things to you. The space station's rotation gives the illusion of normal Earth gravity.
While the 2 effects are indisdinguishable from each other the causes are not the same

...You would lose the bet if being accelerated sufficiently upward while on the moon, pinned to the upward accelerating gym floor.
Yes, but that's not due to gravity is it? That's due to accelleration which is not the same thing.

Where did I mention weightlessness?
You feel the force of your resistance to gravity, but that is your resistance not gravity. When you stop standing up, climbing etc, gravity has not gone away. If you jump from a cliff you do not feel gravity any more or less, just the recognition that you have stopped resisting...and when you land that's not gravity either that's a collision.
Compare a free fall on the moon or on an Earth size planet with no atmosphere...you cannot tell the difference in the two even though the gravity is significantly stronger on the Earth Planet. You cannot feel it.
?! Any significant difference in gravity will be noticable.
I would wager that I could do more press ups on the moon than I can here on earth.

Not sure why I'm bothering to try to correct someone who will not listen but the link above is a pretty good documentary on the subject.

Perhaps a link to what you're referencing is in order?

That sounds absolute, but where is your proof?
The properties and the interaction of EM waves with matter has been understoood without an aether, but EM waves and its transmission of energy, has not been filly comprehended and utilise.
It is not the place of mainstream physics to defend its position - Rather any attempt to go against it must be backed up with evidence.
With this in mind I would ask to see evidence for ether before making any attempt to refute it further.

Meant to mention - it is an epic paint job!
Thanks dude

I had a shirt like that as a child - when worn outside on a sunny day it would attract flying critters like nobody's business. Two of my elder brothers tried to work out why this happened - they decided that it was unusual in reflecting an unseen wavelength of light, my other elder brother said it was because it smelt of dogpoo. I got self-conscious and stopped wearing the shirt inside the house or outside.
Variants of this theory have been proposed by my friends

I was responding to a request for a link on the idea of an ether to conduct EM radiation and the fact that the Michelson-Morley experiments failed to find evidence for it. Why do you think its a joke?
Because there is no ether...

Is it possible that they are trying to blot out the paint job - even if their only method of doing so is suicidal splatting?
They just seem to gather on the roof on sunny days...

Hi all,
My car has a rather unique paint job, it's a bright pink and white marble effect (I will try to post a picture at some point) but on sunny days it seems to attract small flies.
Could this be due to it reflecting More UV than normal cars?
I would appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Al

ty got carried away ask me questions ive been looking this stuff up ive even been loking up astranmers and studing einstens theroy of relitivty and einstien himself einstine was exstreemly dumb in a lot of areas but but completly overed wired in others his brain was a 3rd the size a normal braine but also produce a 3rd the heat and could function on a higher level without over heatingmso theres trade trade offs
This is badly spelled rubbish

what methods were used to debunk it? please be specific that sounds like an argument from authority.

So if part one of my Ghost wave theory to be true says that there should be evidence of gravitational wave emission and there is indirect evidence of gravitational wave emission and this evidence is inclusive of relativity and alternative theories concerning gravitational wave emission then it is perfectly acceptable to quote it as evidence.
So stop the ill thought out attacks and try to pick on an aspect of my theory that has a better chance of a flaw...
This part is in total agreement with Einstein.
We both agree there should be production of gravitational waves.
You're missing the point:
This is accounted for already with standard physics. As I've explained, this cannot be used to support any other theories. You have to find something that GR doesn't predict/explain.

Could plasma one day be used for actual guns?
