  1. Thanks, swansont. But can you please explain that in layman terms? Please remember that I have no background in physics. Isn't the sum of all of my motions c? And what's a four-vector?
  2. According to Einstein, the sum total of all of my motion equals the speed of light. With that in mind, I would like to know what types of motion I am experiencing as I sit here at my desk. I know that I am traveling through time, that the Earth is spinning on its axis, that the Earth is orbiting the Sun, that the sun is orbiting the Galactic Centre, that the Milky Way Galaxy is in some form of motion, and that the Universe is expanding. Is that all correct? Have I missed anything? Does the expansion of the Universe count as a type of motion that I am experiencing?
  3. Hi, guys. I am Poimandres. Although my background is in palaeobiology, I currently make a living as a copywriter, Web developer and Internet marketer. Recently, in my spare time, I have been trying to wrap my mind around cosmology, general relativity and quantum mechanics. These subjects are blowing my socks off! The quantum world, in particular, is so unintuitive. I have so many questions. Hopefully, some of you guys will be able to answer some of my questions. In return, I will, of course, try to make a respectable contribution of my own.
