  1. Yeh! I was agreeing, and hoping to reinforce the legitimacy of a correct answer!
  2. If you fell through the earth you would not start slowing (in the absence of resistence) until you were again acted on by gravity. This would only begin to slow you when you has passed the centrepoint, and you would eventually come to a halt at the same height above/below sea-level that you started at.
  3. Hi folks, I'm Ultra. I'm into all manner of science, technology, space, gadgets, widgets and thingumyjigs. I live on a small Island of about 1000 people off the east coast of England with my dog, Hooligan. He's a very bright dog, and even has opinions on things he can relate to me! Oh yeah, and I'm slightly mad!
